Impfen im Justizvollzug – Vorschläge und Betrachtung aus der Praxis der Vollzugsmedizin
Impflücken sind ein bekanntes Problem in Deutschland, Menschen sind deshalb nur unzureichend vor impfpräventablen Erkrankungen und deren Folgen geschützt. Dies gilt insbesondere für Personen in Haft, welche aufgrund der Unterbringung vieler Menschen auf engem Raum sowie weiterer Faktoren einem erhöhten Risiko für Infektionen mit impfpräventablen Erkrankungen ausgesetzt sind. Die Rahmenbedingungen der vollzuglichen Versorgungstätigkeit erfordern pragmatische Ansätze, die sich niederschwellig und nachhaltig in bestehende Abläufe integrieren lassen. Der vorliegende Artikel gibt einen Überblick über mögliche Impfprioritäten im Vollzug aus der Praxis der Vollzugsmedizin, der als Handreichung in diesem Setting dienen kann. Die Empfehlungen in diesem Artikel ersetzen nicht die offiziellen Empfehlungen der Ständigen Impfkommission (STIKO) oder des Robert Koch-Instituts. Vaccination gaps are a well-known problem in Germany, as a result of which people are inadequately protected against vaccine-preventable diseases and their consequences. This applies in particular to people in prisons, who are exposed to an increased risk of infections with vaccine-preventable diseases due to the accommodation of many individuals in confined spaces as well as other factors. The framework conditions of prison healthcare require pragmatic approaches that can be integrated into existing processes in a low-threshold and sustainable manner. This article provides an overview of possible vaccination priorities in prisons based on practical experience in prison healthcare, which can serve as a guide in this setting. The recommendations in this article do not replace the official recommendations of the Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO) or the Robert Koch Institute.
